Ascot Vale II

This single fronted terrace presented many challenges in terms of access being both on a main road and with no rear laneway. But with a committed builder and client, we managed to create a second storey within the 100+ year old brick shell and deliver and air-tight, 7 star, all-electric home. Very little heating or cooling is required to keep the home comfortable.

 

The bold, pressed metal covered, eave was inspired by the nearby Walter Burley Griffin designed Incinerator Gallery, while timber cladding provides a warm contrast.
