Brunswick II
This first floor addition on the corner site of a 2012 townhouse development provided much needed space just in time for the arrival of the owners' first child. The design responds to numerous planning and building constraints and while blending into its context, is also clearly contemporary. Full width horizontal windows provide lovely views across the area including the nearby brickworks chimneys. The raked walls are clad in Colorbond standing seam steel, while the rear features sustainable rough sawn cypress pine. And despite the tight 185m2 site, we still managed to get in 15 solar panels and a battery!
