Passive Solar House

This new home in gained an energy rating of 8.4 stars, achieved with passive solar design, polished concrete slab for thermal mass and ‘ECO-block’ double insulated walls. An external retractable roof helps to further optimise shading or solar gain as required. The owners are enjoying internal temperatures of around 20 degrees regardless of outside conditions
